Any map of subdivisions in Mooresville??
Im trying to research all the subdivisions - and just when I think I've heard of them all - a few more pop up!
Does anyone know of a map of Mooresville that shows where all these subdivisions are?
I read to stay East of I-77 - is that for Traffic reasons??
I dont plan to comute to Charlotte to often....I would prefer to stay and work in Mooresville....
We can only afford up to $175,000 max! With taxes being so much cheaper there than here in South Eastern WI ($4200 a year on a duplex) - it affords us a bigger house - I hope?
Id like to stick to Linwood farms (heard to many horror stories about Curtis pond)....but not sure if we can do that in our price range? Need at least 1700 sq feet - with losing a basement - here in WI all houses have basements - and that almost doubles the size of your house.......
but the thought of NO snow is wonderful!
Any info on all these subdivisions would be great!

Hi Jodi,
I actually got a map at the chamber of commerce in town, I think it cost $3. It had all of the subdivisions marked in it (as of '05). It really helped us alot when we were looking in Mooresville. It also showed which subdivisions were considered "in town" so you knew if you'd have town water, sewer & trash pick up.
East of I-77 is not as congested as it is on the other side (the majority of the shopping is over there). Also the houses are a bit less expensive because you are not right on the lake. You're right to stay away from Curtis Pond...too many issues going on there at this time. It will also be a huge subdivision of 900 homes when completed. Stick with Linwood Farms, it's a nice subdivision. There are others in the area to choose from as well, new & resales. Feel free to PM me if you like!
Good Luck!

For your price range there is also ( if you see it on the MLS) the Tall Oaks Subdivsion which is probably around 5 years old or so. Nice two story homes in that price range with lots of familys and a nice park as well. It is off of 150 but easy to get on and off to and close to downtown Mooresville.

Check off of Old Mountain Road! Celeste Eufola has land you can build a house on, modular or otherwise, or you can buy a brick home for about
$100K. Country setting, safe for kids. I have a modular home 3 bdr, 2 baths, 1700 sq.ft. 1 acre + I just bought and am looking to rent it out on that street . bfritz2@hotmail.com

You mentioned "horror stories" in Curtis Pond, and warn to "stay away from there." I live in north Charotte now and work in Mooresville, and I'm looking to move my family of 5 there. What specifically is wrong with Curtis Pond???

There were some issues supposedly with the HOA or lack off one. It maybe resolved by now. Iam going from memory so take this as you will.
Good Luck, the Scenic homes over there were nicely priced for the size etc...

There is a rift in the neighborhood...phase 1 residents only are allowed in the main pool. They just opened another pool for all of phases 2,3 & 4 to use. From a resident there, I heard that someone stands at the gate & checks to see if you belong in that particular pool. There are 2 different HOA's, one for phase 1 & the other is for all the other phases, but, again from a resident, I heard that phases 2,3 & 4 don't have to sign up with the HOA. It's a big legal mess that hasn't been resolved yet.
Sad...they do have some nice floor plans there for the price.

I'm researching subdivisions in Mooresville too, and found a ReMax realtor site that lists all the subdivions in a particular city (not necessarily a map, but it does give a list that allows you to search subdivisions in the list). Try this out.
Go to www.homesatthelake.com
Click HOMESEARCH
Click the CITY tab
Select MOORESVILLE from the drop down list
Click NEXT
Enter your search criteria
Select a subdivision from the SUBDIVSION drop down list or leave NO PREFERENCE to search all the Mooresville subdivisions
Hope this helps someone...it helped me
