I don't care what anyone says... This is the one and only, best divorce/child custody attorney in charlotte/nc/maybe even east coast...

JMD (http://www.jmdlaw.com/attorney-bdiehl.aspx - broken link)

BILL DIEHL

Probably the most expensive too... but if anyone can get it done, it's this man...

Good Luck!!

Meck/Union county are going to be different.

BILL DIEHL for Meck county
Charles Brooks <or> Donna Step for Union county
http://www.lawyers.com/North-Carolin...1404102-f.html

Note, great lawyers for union county will not go to Meck, and great Meck county lawyers don't go to union

If asking any of these lawyers to do so, they would just refer you to the other county lawyer on my list.. These ^^^ are truly the best of the best.

Bill Diehl has a bad reputation amongst judges, from what I have heard. Hiring him is not only expensive, it could mean an instant turn off from the very person who is going to end up ruling on your case, should it end up in court.

I would weigh it out very carefully before I selected his firm.

Hopefully, others will weigh in with opinions or suggestions re: other attorneys.

A firm with a good reputation for tough mediation OUTSIDE the courtroom would probably be a good suggestion. This is often the least expensive route, too and if it gets everyone to a good place without having to go to court, sure is better on emotions/psyche. Going thru/ child custody cases is almost always a life-altering, terribly upsetting situation - for all parties concerned.

Diehl used to be the go-to guy when you wanted to 'screw' your spouse - not so anymore! He no longer has the judges in his pocket and as Ani says - hiring him may hurt you more than help you.

He charges a fortune and doesn't deliver. BTW - he was the attorney for Gloria Pace King if that tells you anything about his morals...
