My parents are retiring and want to move to Lake Norman. We've been there several times and love the area. People seem great, seems to have jobs near the area, and its not out in the middle of the woods. I am curious though about the parties. Do they have any parties like spring break at lake havasu?

Also curious for myself when we do make the move I myself want a farm and alot of land not to far from the lake. Where would be the best place to look?

Hope I put this in the right area

It would be a mistake to believe this. Unemployment here is some of the worst in the nation and it is rising.

As for the lake itself, there is a website devoted to activities on it. Checkout lknfun.com.
