Tried to find these locations on the NC DMV website but you have to enter the names of each county to bring up each office-- and since I'm a relative newcomer here, not familiar at all with the names of the neighboring counties! There was no map search available as far as I could see unless I missed something. (That's the DMV for you, making things as complicated as possible!)
I live in the Southpark area, have to renew my out-of-state license & have been advised to avoid the city of Charlotte DMV offices. Since I don't actually have a car right now, if I'm able to get a ride to another location, where are the nearest other town DMVs? Maybe east of Southpark? If someone can help me out by listing the nearby towns with DMVs, would be greatly appreciated! (or direct me to a more helpful website than the DMV for this info.) Thanks!

I used the DMV on West Franklin in Gastonia when I got my NC license. Much nicer than anything I ever experienced with NJ DMVs.
Does anyone know a DMV office which would be closest to Southpark (Fairview and Sharon Rd area) in terms of mileage? Preferably east of Charlotte? Thanks.
have you tried the one off arrowhead road? i went there on president day and no line!! im guessing people must've thought they were closed, I was in and out in 15 minutes!
