Try NextAlarm.com

Been using them in NJ for 3 years now and very happy with response time.

1/4 of the cost of the local guys.

I can't believe adt wanted to charge $850 to upgrade??? You can get a loaded wireless (keypads, keychain remote, motion sensors, smoke detector) for less than $200 (not including new customer discounts). Sounds like a huge rip-off to me.

My complaint about ADT is they are too expensive. I have had no problems with them responding and sending the police to my house. I thought their services were good. My contract has ended with them and I'm looking for a new cheaper alarm. Now, I do dislike the 3 year contract but the attitude is when you buy a house most people stay put so a 3 year contract is no big deal.

Default update

I did go with CPI for the real response time two way call system and could not be happier!

We don't live in Charlotte - yet, but when we got our system in CA, I chose not to go with ADT because the sales people that came out just kind of seemed like the people we were trying to protect our home from!!! We also got the same thing from Brinks about having to "upgrade" the whole system in order to monitor our existing system. After shopping around quite a bit, we finally went with a local company. Doesn't really matter much out here in L.A. though, as no matter how efficient the alarm company is, the police never show up anyway - too busy Looking forward to moving to Charlotte

$100 is on par with CPI???? I've been a CPI customer for 3 years and pay about 35 a month, nowhere near $100... I've been very happy with CPI and wouldn't even consider switching right now.

We're very happy with CPI - have been for 7-8 years. They offered the best package from a financial point of view.

Default Cpi

Was a little more for us I think we pay #39 for the real time rate..two way radio thing. They were definitely higher then the other companies when it came to equipments. We spent about $1000 on ours and will probably add a little more in another year. I like to be very protected.

As far as cops...don't be too excited to move to Charlotte for that reason they take forever out here. I think it took them 30 mins. when my alarm went off luckily if it was a real robber I have other things in my home to protect me then waiting on the cops!

I am in the process of moving to Cornelius and ADT is charging me over $850 for wiring my house. That includes siring about 13 windows, three doors, and keyboard. They are now waiting for contractors to put in their wiring. Maybe I will put a halt on the project?

Default Well we paid more then that..

OUr house had the option to put the wiring in so we did for $350 but then like I said we paid for the actual sensors, glass breakers, etc.
