Well I just talked with CPI and the service rep through KB (security net) and it was easy to get out of the deal with ADT. KB was just doing the prewire so they just called to see if we wanted them to hook up the alarm after closinf and I said we are just looking at other companies right now and she said okay. It was much easier talking to them then the sales guy at the KB studio. Anyways, CPI sounds great and they were willing to give us a break on a lot of the extras I want like glass breaker sensors, panic button, wireless keypad, etc.

Now I just have to decide if I want to the real time response rate two way speakers. The cost is $7.00 more a month. So when someone breaks in they come over a two way and if no code is given the cops have priority to be dispatched to your house. You also don't have to pay for any false alarms!

If you can PM me as well.
Would like to know who u spoke to. The sales rep for Gaurdian said that the ONLY way to have the alarm hard wired was to go with them. If I didnt go with them, they would NOT run the wires. So you are saying even after the paper was submitted that you are able to change your mind on the alarm company and just have it pre-wired only?

Default security

yes that is exactly what I am saying. We dealt with Andrew and the studio and although we liked him almost as friends I felt really pushed into some things so after looking into it we just had them do the prewire..I think it was $300. They will try to tell you that you will get all the equipment for free but CPI gives it to you for free too! Plus CPI was actually cheaper and the 1st three months are only $14.00!

I will pm you both with the lady who called me. I am not sure if this is the same lady (Val) that will call you though since we are in different development. She was very nice and explained everything. She works for security net...so she will also give you quotes on the cable/phone, etc. through Time Warner.

I have the 2 way system through CPI and have been very pleased with it. I bought a Ryan Home and did not have it prewired. CPI came in and wired the whole house for me for free with a 2 year agreement. They were in and out in about 3 hours.

Great Deal!!!

Thanks Jake..great news!!! Yeah I wish I didn't do the prewire now but I bought it back in Oct. and it is already done. $300 I could have saved! I have a feeling that is just going to be part of being a homeowner..ha~

Thanks MJ.

I paid the 300$ to. I think its a learning experience. But Im glad they don't have to open walls now because it was done as the house was being built.
