Cable Options? Time Warner Only?
What are the cable options?
I want high speed internet and cable (maybe a phone line, not sure about the digital that comes with the package). I am not sure where to look? Do I get a dish- I am in an apartment? Is doing the phone company, internet company, and a separate cable service cheaper? Any advice here would be great!

You also have AT&T (formerly Bellsouth, but they don't have TV yet).

am looking for cable/hi speed internet options too.
Hi!
I am wondering if there are any additional options in the Charlotte area for cable and high speed internet than Time warner? Vios is not available in Charlotte.
Thanks,
Mary Kate

Clearwire
I saw a store with ads in the window recently for a "great" deal on internet and phone. Don't know about cable...

It depends on the area.
We have AT&T, Verizon, Windstream, Time warner cable, com cast, clear wire, & satellite companies.

We just ditched TW Cable and went with DirecTV. we kept Road Runner and TW phone service (for now) and will save about $30-40 per month in doing so. Once I find a reputable VoIP company, I will cancel TW phone as well and save even more (since I currently pay $99 for phone and internet...making it $50 for each, and most VoIP plans are around $35 including tax for the same service).
Don't belive the advertising LIE of bundling to save money. Sure, it saves money with the company that you're bundling with (as opposed to ordering all seperate accounts with the same company for different services)...but it doesn't compare to having seperate services with multiple companies. TWC removed my 3% discount I was receiveing when I cancelled cable TV. Oh my! Whatever will I do?!?!?!

Never a problem with Voicewing (Verizon's VoIP). Only $29 per month including all taxes and fees.
We do it a la carte: loaded Dish Network for around $120, internet with MI-Connection for $44.95 (looking to switch to something else for $29.95), and VoIP with Voicewing for $29.

We do a lot of long distance calling because our families are scattered all over the States. So we use AT&T long distance & local service for about $25.00 a month. Our basic Direct TV is about $40.00, my AT&T cell phone is about $35.00 and our high speed internet is about $40.00. This comes to $140.00 per month. Is this high?
We are really pleased with all of our services. We never lose our TV or internet service. I have no complaints about my cell phone service either.
Let me know if I'm paying too much.

Add my ~$180 home services bill to our shared cell phones (one phone and one blackberry) at ~$200 = $380 , and I'd say you're pretty low!
