You left out the close-in neighborhoods. Dilworth, Elizabeth, Plaza-Midwood, and South End, etc. They would have had my vote!

Are we talking about commercial property or residential property, or both?

A couple of areas that come to mind for me:

Downtown Mount Holly and Belmont. You'll understand once you visit.

West Charlotte, close to downtown. It's already gentrifying almost up to WBTV on morehead. You can still get a good deal for your money there.

The York Chester neighborhood and Downtown areas of Gastonia. York Chester is full of turn of the century houses, huge oak trees and is very pedestrian friendly. It's like a mini Queens Road, if you will. Downtown Gastonia is full of the older buildings that Charlotte has gotten rid of Downtown. That isnt even to mention the Loray Mill restoration in West Gastonia just half a mile from downtown. You also have the old Loray mill village that will gentrify quickly once the restoration of the mill is complete. That entire side of town is like a stick of dynamite, it's just waiting for someone to light the fuse.

If Belmont were on the poll I'd have picked that. I think it's going to explode.

Although I hope that explosion happens in Fort Mill/Tega Cay since that's where we're building!

I'm going to bump this thread because of the news about the Charlotte law school being built in the development where soldier seal is leaving.

Here comes west charlotte.

I have to vote for Southwest Charlotte. Berewick is a great community, and once they have the commercial area built, everything will be within walking distance!
