Anyone know of a market in the Charlotte area where I can buy fresh cherimoya?

At times it is sold in Indian stores at Bombay Bazaar or Patel Brothers . Both of them are located off S Blvd. In UK and its erstwhile colonies it is called Custard Apple . Also called 'Sitaphal' in Indian Stores. Awesome fruit

Thanks. I'll be on the look-out when next I visit Charlotte.

In the US "custard apple" refers to a different, but related, fruit.

Thanks for the photos.

I looked into sitaphal and it appears that this is not the cherimoya, but is indeed the custard apple. I'm seeking the Andean fruit (second photo from the left in the previous post), not the Asian one.

I could find them in the Harris Teeters in south Charlotte last autumn.
