Front yard is primarily fescue, Backyard is Bermuda/Fescue mix. Not sure if the previous owners were trying to transition to Bermuda in the back or what...

We lived down there for three years. The first year we got sod and almost lost it due to our own ignorance coming from the north and knowing nada about the Carolinas. We hired King Green to come out and they were reasonable VERY! We had the best lawn in the subdivision-lol. That helped sell our home quick!!!! Good luck with the lawns- it was a hard task, that's for sure.

Question Rain!

I applied fertilizer/pre-emergent this weekend, and then it rained hard . . .

So now I'm worried that the rain washed away all the stuff I applied. What should I do?

What kind of pre-emergent and fertilizer did you use? My fiance is a landscaper and I will ask him for you.

I'd like to know if the Lesco with fertilizer is preferrable or should they be two diff products?

If I do the pre-emerge this week, how long until I do the fertilizer? Water it in or what? I've heard it should be watered in, but what if it rains hard?

thanks!

Didn't know we have a Lawn expert on here. I have always follwed the "Scotts" plan I am usually putting something down 4 times a year. Good plan to follow? I know its pricey but it is simple and fool proof.

I have a Bermuda lawn and the last 2 years I put down 2 or 3 feedings and 1 with weed control in late Spring and my lawn was just OK looking, and the drought did not help. Execpt for the area where I washed out my broadcast spreader - that spot was emerald green. I've been told you have to fertilize Bermuda heavy because it needs it and it can tolerate it, so this year I plan to add a feeding or 2.
