I was looking for something around the $500 range but my family says to be safe dont go any lower than $600. I found alot of houses on Craigslist.org but evidently the areas I look at arent too good. I just want something thats closer to a department store or grocery store. I do have a vehicle but would love to bike or be able to walk on a nice day. Has anyone heard about Peppertree, Lion Head, Charlotte Woods, Maple Run or Somerstone @ Winding Trails? I would also like to get into any healthcare setting even if its volunteer work! So if anyone knows where to look or where to start Im open to anything! Thanks and God Bless You CD!

If you have a chance to stay somewhere rent-free, take that opportunity! Even if it's just for a month, it'll give you a little time to get an idea of where you want to be, to personally drive around and find the neighborhoods you want/need, look for daycare, etc. In this day and age, friends/family would usually be happy to help give you a break and get you on your feet before having to take the plunge on your own. Lean on God, but lean on your friends/family also.

^^^^That is excellent advice! Even if you stay with friends/family for only a few weeks - that is long enough to drive around, see what you feel good about, get a feel for the area and what it is like to commute to/from various neighborhoods.

Best wishes to you!
