Can anyone suggest what would be the best way to create a living trust? Is there any good attorney or law firm in Charlotte area?

Save your money and get a copy of Quicken Willmaker. Yo can create a revocable living trust with Willmaker. It's something like $30 for the software.

I am not sure of filing fees or anything like that.

If you're creating a trust to deal with anything relating to NFA, I can give you the name of the most reccomended attorney in town.

I created one a few years ago. See if your company offers legal benefits. At the time, my company offered legal benefits that I paid ~$6/pay period for. Basically had an attorney on retainer and we picked an attorney on the provider list to put together our will for no additional cost.

I used this myself. Worked well, though you have to print and find a notary. There is an online site as well, Legal Zoom, they do a bit more for you but costs a few more dollars. I used quick for Trust, will, power of attorney, etc.
