Thanks for all the replies. I didn't realize the bus was an option from the Huntersville area - I may look into that.

In response to a Q above, I am primarily looking at the quality of elementary schools.

In Huntersville, Huntersville Elementary School is outstanding. If you are looking south, Union Schools are great like Marvin Elementary, Sandy Ridge and some new schools. Check ReDir to check out a school, it is very helpful.

You'll love it. It was great riding the bus, lots of employers will pay for you to use the bus, you may want to check into that. Huntersville is such a beautiful place also.

Good Luck with whatever you decide. David Weekly has some nice new homes going up in the Vermillion right across from my subdivision.

There are also preexisting homes in MacCauley and Birkdale for that price. They have good elementary schools, too.
