Happy Earth Day everyone!

Barking, hope the side effects aren't too bad. Praying for you!

Sunny, sorry to hear about the vision loss. Thanks for the info on your particular condition, didn't know about that. I've been legally blind in my right eye since I was a kid. They always said it was a congenital cataract, but it's actually a birth defect that , Thank God, was not passed on to my son when he was born.

Well....I survived the 1st homestand at Knight's stadium this season. Don't know how it's going to go for the rest of the season. LOTS of changes there, hope it all works out for the better. Just not too happy right now.

Another day another 11 beams of focused radiation aimed at my head. Traffic really isn't that bad from Ballantyne to CMC Main at 6:30am...At least I got a good fit with my mask today so no headaches.

Rosie if it is indeed a congenital cataract you can have it removed & have a new lens implanted in your eye. I had congenital cataracts in both eyes and I had them removed last December. You may gain back a good part of your vision in that eye. Thanks for the prayers they do help.

I can not begin to tell you how many doctors I've seen over the years. The last specialist I saw (about 7 yrs ago) was the one that said it's actually a birth defect. Cataracts are bi-lateral, I have this in only 1 eye. He said it's actually a blood vessel that never closed properly in utero. If they remove it, I could lose the little bit if vision I actually have in the eye. It could also cause he to have a "shadow vision" (like seing double). Since the eye has atrophied over the years, a lens implant more than likely won't work. Now, the eye is turning out so it looks like I have lazy eye. Insurance won't cover to have the eye repositioned because they consider that a cosmetic procedure. If I had the money I would consider getting yet another opinion & maybe even try a transplant, but...

I do believe in the power of prayer. You stay strong, I'll keep praying

I lived in El Paso TX right across the border from Juarez. Needless to say I never have or will have the desire to go to Mexico. Just a bad feeling.
