Sit down with my large glass of tea and toast (as usual) at the computer. Upturn the entire glass of tea all over my side table & floor, drop the toast, (butter side down) AND my aunt called to say that my elderly uncle has just been diagnosed with some kind of rare skin cancer that they don't know the name of!!

I've only been up for 30 minutes!! I think that I need to go back to bed!
What a morning indeed!! Don't you just HATE when the toast falls butter side down?!?! Sorry to hear about your uncle.

Here's hoping your days starts to improve...fast!!

Hi, everyone!

We went to the greenway today (the one b/w Johnston Rd and Rea Rd) with the whole family, including Jett. We are all tired and well exercised. I felt especially bad for Jett who kept plopping down anywhere on the last 1/4 mile of the walk He is sooo tired and warm. We kept everyone, including him, well hydrated the whole walk, but it was still pretty darned hot.

Loved the boardwalk area and we plan on going back, but once it's cooler or at least much earlier in the morning.

I drove by the parking lot on Johnston this morning & there were so many cars there that they were parking on the grass.

morning all;

well, the late afternoon/evening went very well; make the trek to S. Charlotte to visit with a friend. At at the Irish pub on Audrey Kell (forget the name now) that I heard you guys talking about. Very nice. Then, hung out in Blakney (sp?) and was treated to some live 70's music. Good stuff.

Hope everyone has a great day today! 'Sposed to get hot again...

Has anyone heard any rumors about police being laid off in Charlotte? I'm wondering if this is a possibility.
