I'm not afraid to take a stand
Everybody come take my hand
We'll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you're not alone
Holla if you feel that you've been down the same road

You guys see this? Words fail me:

Parents: Dying Girl Kathleen Edward Taunted By Neighbors In Trenton (http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/dpp/news/the_edge/dying-girl-taunted-by-neighbors-in-trenton - broken link)

Yeah, I know there's already a C-D topic going on this. As someone who's been dealing first-hand for a long time with someone with the same condition, it's hard to stomach.

My brother is trying to start a fundraiser to try to help this girl and her family (what's left of it).

I know. And, the interview with the lady that did it shows a "normal" looking person; someone that people would probably not even think twice about chatting with....just goes to show you that true character is rarely shown in appearances; it is the actions that show what people are made of.

It is people that harm kids like this that ought to suffer just like they make the kid suffer. That would be the minimum punishment for them.

Amazing how something so petty could escalate into something like that. In a way it reminds me of that parking thread in this section.

Denizens of the Internet are busily harrassing the offending couple with prank phone calls, pizza deliveries, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if their online accounts get hacked, it has happened to people in the past.

Ugh. Usually I'm pretty proud to be from metro Detroit. Not so much when that story's being discussed. Unbelievable.

Nah... that got stamped out a long time ago. They made a big effort to start calling it Angel's Night and to have tons of police and volunteers patrol the streets. It worked. I think some years there are even fewer fires on Devil's Night than there are on any old regular night.
