It is a cool setup you walk in and the stylist that takes your name down is inside a batting cage and the whole place has sports memorabilia with a wide screen tv to watch while you wait to be called and the stylist are dressed in athletic attire then they take you back to your chair and each station has a telivision to watch a game and they are inside gym lockers.
If you go for the head massage it back in "the showers" lol but it not a gym shower just another way to give you that sports place feel.
The tea treatment is the deal but all the extras are not required but worth trying. They do give discounts for repeat visits.
The price is within reason too.
Here description of the options
They give upscale MVP service is totally unique in men’s hair care today and is the flagship service of Sport Clips. The MVP begins with precision haircut followed by an invigorating scalp massage with Tea Tree shampoo, a Classic Steamed Towel, and finishes with a relaxing upper neck and shoulder massage. The MVP is the ultimate just-for-guys championship haircut experience that you’ll come back for again and again. In between haircuts, don’t forget to go in and get your neck trimmed and cleaned up for FREE!

I actually went to that location over the weekend. The lady who cut my hair reeked of cigarette smoke and complained about how she didn't want to cut her grass the whole time. I won't go back, it kind of grossed me out. I "don't have much to work with" so I think it's silly to spend a lot of $$ for a haircut, but I'm considering just going to a salon, so I don't have to deal with the aggravation of going to Sports Clips, Great Clips etc... at least at the salon the people working there seem to be a step above the aformentioned businesses.

Oh, the Aveda institute in Charlotte caters to both men and women. They are students, but they are closely supervised and do a great job.

My husband goes to Modern Salon (Ballantyne Village) and Gina cuts his hair. She always does a nice job, and it's not very expensive.

I am surprised it hasn't been mentioned. It is the best all men's salon we have found. They have a few locations but my husband goes to the one in Ballantyne. He sees Cher and is very happy with her. He has thick wavy hair is super picky! She does a great job. The carry a pretty good product line too and my husband loves the pampered treatment! I highly recommend!
