Well, different HOAs have different rules, but if members are elected - don't vote for them next time!

I assume that your HOA has annual elections, where individuals are voted on and off the board. I presume that you 'get rid' of someone in the same manner as they got there in the first place.

If you feel as though said board member has committed an act serious enough to warrant expulsion, then your HOA probably has a means of taking more immediate action that doesn't require them to wait until the annual elections.

Check the Articles of Incorporation, they usually have a provision stating special votes at any time, with a certain majority percentage of members, can vote somebody off at any time.

You can do what I always do, it works every time:

Give him/her a big wad of cash and tell them to step down.
