White House officials have not yet settled on where Obama will speak, or in what format.
But his administration has been emphasizing job creation, small businesses and
a "green economy" that focuses on the production of clean energy.

Obama moves on to jobs, and to Charlotte - CharlotteObserver.com (http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2010/03/27/1339604/obama-moves-on-to-jobs-andto-charlotte.html - broken link)

For the President to come to Charlotte without bringing jobs and not wishful thinking is no big deal. Everyone touts "green jobs" and frankly I am tired of hearing about it because they don't seem to pan out, at least not the volume that the WH talks about. I realize nothing works fast in government but dreamers talk a lot but don't put anything on the table. Rememeber the "shovel ready construction jobs" we all heard about from the stimulus? How many were actually created? We need someone who has operated a business running government not a lawyer whose only fame to claim was community organization who mostly were volunteers or low paid. We always seem to elect wannabes not people of action so I guess we deserve what we get.

So I guess this means that if you're flying on Friday or headed downtown you should check to see if your flight is canceled and choose alternate routes.

Friday is a holiday for a lot of people, so I'm sure where ever it ends up being its going to be very crowded. I guess for security reasons they wait to the last minute to tell people exactly where he will be, because to my knowledge they haven't announced it yet.

I think that the proper place for Obama to speak would be the Comedy Theater. I really love his jokes about change. LOL!! Personally, I would prefer that he go to Raleigh.

Some of the green jobs would include the ones recently announced for wind turbine technology - Siemens, maybe?

If I don't have to work on Friday, I plan to see the President, and I will listen to what he has to say, and give him as much support as possible, b/c whether you like him or not, he is our President. I was that way with Bush as well, but we all know how that happened!
