i live in a Ryan home in Union County (Waxhaw). there are a bunch of builders in that price range in and around the South Charlotte area. in my community there are 6 different builders w/ each builder designated a specific price range.

check the websites for builders like:

Pulte, Centex, Ryan Homes, Ryland Homes and K. Hovnanian. you can even type in "new construction in Charlotte" and get a mind bending selection. $200k-$250k will get you a very nice house in any one of those areas you've targeted.

Thanks for all the good ideas! We will be hopefully be visiting next week and hope to visit some of those builders mentioned. We're leaning more toward MI homes.

Alas they where not in time for the start of our home (as they only just started doing this), however they did start taking pics just prior to the drywall, took much better pics than we did.

We bumbed into the photographer one of the days we where at the house.

We will be getting them in a bound album and a cd with the photos on.
