Thumbs up The Charlotte Bobcats clinched their first playoff

The Charlotte Bobcats clinched their first playoff berth since their founding six years ago,
as Stephen Jackson scored 29 points
and D.J. Augustin hit a crucial 3-pointer with 16 seconds left in a 104-103 victory
over the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night.

They clinched that berth over the team that took the name with them to New Orleans! I love it!

But what a lot of teams WON'T love (including my Cavaliers) is to have to play the Bobcats in the playoffs...these guys are the real deal, and they are THAT GOOD...if the playoff seeds hold fast til the end of the season, the Bobcats will play the defending Eastern Conference champs, the Orlando Magic---and I'm not betting against the Bobcats

I dont follow Basketball but I dont get your reasoning. If the Bobcats are so good then why did it take until one of the last games for them to get into the playoffs?

What I meant when I said 'THAT GOOD' was , that, yes, they didn't clinch their spot 'til like the 78th or 79th game of the season, but I've seen them play both my Cavaliers, and a lot of the other good teams, and the Bobcats are that dangerous mix of talented veterans, hungry talented newcomers, together with a coach who's already won a championship (Larry Brown-2004-05 Detroit Pistons), who are peaking at just the right time, and will be a load come the playoffs...

Do you FOLLOW the NBA?

The eastern conference is anyone's game. Infact, only 1-3 have had a secure place for a while. Even the Celtics had some losing streaks that put the seed in jepordy. Additionally, it wasn't until we added Jack that we truly became a great team. Wallace could not do it in his own. Throw in Tyrus Thomas, Tyson Chandler's return, and DJ stepping up his game BIG time and we are making some waves. Our record after the allstar break has been awesome b.c we learned how to play and win on the road.

We can beat Orlando, we can beat Cleveland (look at what Lebron has said about who they DON'T want to play, and hint, it isn't the Celtics)we can beat the injury torn Atlanta. We will compete, mark my words. Boston has been a thorn in our side and it would be rough to beat them, the trio of Rondo, Pierce, and Garnett seems to have our number.

But to say we aren't any good b/c it took this long to secure a spot, get your facts right. And when in the next few years they become a championship team, I will save you a seat in the bandwagon b/c it is a'growin! Mean while, this fan who has been there through good times and bad will continue to enjoy my team, in my city a few rows back from MJ!

I said I dont follow basketball. I also won't need a seat in the bandwagon. Even if they become the best team in the NBA I will not watch them in the regular season or the playoffs. If they are peaking in the second half of the season then thats good. Its the best time to peak. Hopefully it will continue. I hope they do good in the playoffs. It will mean alot to Charlotte.

I'd love to see my Cavs play Bobcats so I don't have to travel to CLE. Here's hoping the Bobcats can get the 8 spot
