Time Warner Cable updates their channel lineup
I just received an automated call from TWC.. I believe I also received an email which I deleted thinking its the same usual junk from twc.. But this call/email seems to be important..
It will majorly affect DVR users, parental control and those set as favorites, if you dont update your settings!!
On April 14th TWC plans to change its channel line up big time.. if its true, looking at the PDF they plan to move around channels all around.. I think this is the line up the TWC in Newyork has coz I remember the HD channel in NY-TWC use to start at 700.. and the other good thing in nyc was the HD and non-HD channels were lined up mostly in order.. meaning if 110 is ABC, 7110 is ABC-HD.. makes is eazier..
Link to the new channel lineup PDF

Old Lineup link on the site (ofcourse may get updated after tomorrow)
Goodluck!

TWC has been working to 'nationalize' the channel lineup for several years now, this is just another step in the process. DVR users need to be mindful of the change or you will miss your regularly recorded show.

Hmm.. Even my satellite company manages to still provide the local channels on the local channel numbers. i.e. 3, 9, 36, 30, 42, 64, 36. (we get the main UNC 4 in raleigh instead of 58 out of concord) Even the HD ones are listed this way. They even have that horrendious channel 14 from hickory on 14.

They already made this change, at least mine changed about a week ago. It has been a major pia not being able to find stations where I expect them to be. Seems that my DVR changed automatically. It is still recording the same shows even tho they are now on different numbered channels. How do it know?

If you have the DVR set up to record a show by name, then it will record where that show is located rather than just a channel and time.

I am so glad I have my satellite, and NO channel 14! That channel is as obnoxious as the rug and home lady.

Why does everyone hate Jamie so much. She is so cute and perky!
I have to check my DVR recordings, I can't be missing my SGU and Lost. I think it is fine that they changed the lineup but now if they could just be cheaper!

Nothing is more obnoxious than being "only xx miles from the Honda of Concord superstore!".

LOL! So true! Lum, I didn't realize there was another 14. I'm happy to not have any obnoxious channels.
