Default  Scary Weather ;)

So I am a west coast weanie. This suprise thunder/lightning storm is "scary". I kept peeking out my windows to make sure Wizard Of Oz isn't upon us. I called my sister and she just laughed at me.

All kidding aside, the thunder and lightning is pretty neat. I just need to get use to it and not be a whimp

I told dh I was jealous. I am still in CA and miss those storms. He is already working out there and was telling me about them when we were talking earlier. I can't wait to be there and have my kids experience them like I did growing up.

Reminds of last summer and I was out kayaking on sunny day on the lake and saw a cloud in the distance looking rather dark . I just told my partner paddle as fast as you can LOL

North Carolina is in the top 5 of states with lightening fatalities just be careful.

Some of the tv stations have the software that they can zoom into neighborhoods and tell you what time they will hit each one, I always find that neat

I'm scared of Thunderstorms too but this one today compared to a monsoon in AZ was like a Spring shower.

I've hardly seen thunderstorms this last year I've lived in NC. When I do they remind me of so many years spent in Florida.

Oh how I love thunderstorms! In Florida it can be raining cats and dogs accross the street but never get a drop on our lawn......do you get those crazy storms there?

During that tornado warning a couple of months back, I think it was WSOC that was able to tell you what street the storm was approaching next.
