Default Brunch BUFFET

Hi all, I did a search on this and came up empty. So, my husbands birthday happens to fall on Father's day this year, a double whammy. He LOVES brunch BUFFETS, he doesn't love "fancy" food, but also doesn't love Golden Corrall type places either. We had a couple of fabulous places we liked to go to where we used to live, so we need somewhere new to go to here. That's all he's getting for his birthday, since we close on our new house the following week, so I'd love to find a nice brunch place for him, Thanks!!!

Every restuarant in Charlotte has a brunch buffet it seems. I recommend Pike's old fashioned-soda shop in south end or Waldhron (German but with plenty of American food) in Pineville near Carolina Place mall. Be prepared to wait at both, especially on father's day.

Brunch buffetts offered:
Waldhorn German Restaurant--excellent. Check out the brunch menu on the website.
http://www.waldhorn.us/

Pike's in Charlotte has brunch buffett with everything from grits to roast beef. They won Best Brunch in 2005.

Call Harvey's in Huntersville. They used to do a buffett but I have not been there in a while.

Those are the only buffetts I know of for brunch. Maybe someone else knows of more. I know of some great brunch places, but not a lot of buffetts.

EDIT: Groove, we must have been typing at the same time!!

Oh, make sure you check this site first:

Mecklenburg County, NC - Digital Health Department

Generally, anything 90 and above is good (102 is best possible score, 100 plus you get 2 points if a manager is Servsafe certified).

I love that website. It goes back a few years and gives the report verbatim. Even has schools on it.

LOL I look at one restaurant then decided ok I better close that page you provided. It is getting to close to dinner and if I look at it any more I will end up just cooking dinner at home tonight.

I can get paranoid eating out sometimes I have left restaurants over dirty silverware and menus before.

The Tega Cay Golf Club has a great middle of the road brunch - lots of choice, not too fancy. But you're not allowed to call until I have my reservation all set.
