Here is a great article about one of our C-D members and the wonderful work she is doing in her community!

Please support her efforts by voting for her project to receive a grant from Pepsi! Voting lasts til 4/30.

Excerpt:

Sarah Ray Brooks is into fresh produce, big time. She feeds her Monroe family of five healthy foods and volunteers at Your Neighborhood Produce’s Indian Trail location to help other families do the same.

And now she wants to feed 50 to 100 economically disadvantaged Monroe families delicious produce for a year – free – courtesy of Pepsi’s national Refresh Everything program to fund peoples’ great ideas. But she needs your help. Fast.

April 30 is the deadline to vote for Brooks’ Blessing Baskets project among 300 other ideas nationwide. The top 10 vote-getters each will receive $25,000 for their projects. Since voting began April 1, Brooks’ project has gone from a high ranking at 12th to mid-ranking at 130 and at press time is ranked No. 83.

There is a "share" button in the article, if you want to post it on your Blog or FB page.
