Well I'm with RE/MAX and love it. However, I do have a lot of friends in the business that are with Tate as well.
I grew up here and both have always had a very strong presence in the community.

We have been very happy with our Allen Tate agent. We didn't make him work too hard, though - we found our home on our first outing with him. But we just struck gold early. He gave us a lot of good info on the area we are buying into vs. another we were considering.

Well, I think that ReMax and Tate work on completely different business plans... And, I think Tate has the "lion's share" of business--at least in Lake Norman area. I bet they have a 70% saturation. I'm a total "skeptic" about RE agents... but, wanted the best when I sold my house in March. First day:12 showings; 2 contracts... deal done. Over asking price. So, Allen Tate gets the nod from me.

Thanks for everyone's input. I am going to try and make an appt. to meet with someone from Allen Tate this week! I have already met with a great Remax broker but I definitely think I need to meet with someone from Tate so that I can make an informed decision!

Gotta Go With Tate!
I'm relocating and went with Allen Tate. They were TOP NOTCH from start and I haven't finished yet...but the process has thus far been smooth. I can't even say enough about my realtor, I won't say her name cause I don't think your allowed on here, but if you're gonna work for someone...I'd want to work for a #1 agency and in my opinion...THAT'S TATE!

WIth all due respect to Allen Tate, I believe that agencies that have huge brick and mortar offices everywhere are going to have to rethink that strategy as consumers become more internet savvy. That kind of overhead will not be able to compete with the direction that real estate is going.

Allentate's b&m offices are relatively small, except for some regional ones. Many agents do not even have an office. And their website is among the best in this area for real estate.
