My wife and I are relocating to the NC area. She will be working in Davidson. We have picked out a Huntersville called Kids R Kids. We are looking at the Mooresville, Daivdson, Huntersville area.

We were wondering about the commute from Concord. How bad would it be with traffic. Our realtor said that the 73 road could be really bad.

73 can be really bad, but it is the worst closer to I77 you are. If you lived on the Concord side of it the commute would not be terrible to Davidson at all - just busy. What is your price range?

We are wanting to stay around 200,000 but 225,000 would be about our max price. We found a house in Mooresville in Curtis Pond we really loved but it is pending now so the search continues.

I wish we could find another house with that exact same floor plan.

Have you also considered Cornelius? It's between Huntersville and Davisdson.

Have you considerd Cannon Crossing in Concord? It is located in a very nice area with good schools and easy access to interstate 85. Your wife would be going against traffic for the most part to get to Davidson.

Or what about Summers Walk on hwy 73, just inside the Davidson city limits?

Curtis Pond is huge, and there are tons of kids there so it is very family friendly, but some of the homes are really not being kept up - most need a new paint job at the very least.

I suggest Moss Creek or Fullerton Place. In that area you can get to Davidson pretty easily...right up Davidson Concord Rd. off 73.

Is your wife working at IR? Just curious, since I myself work there, and live in Concord off 73/Poplar Tent. The commute is a breeze.. 20 minutes into Davidson, and few traffic lights.

What is IR? I don't know what that is.

The thing is, is that she has her heart set on Kids R Kids in Huntersville for our daycare/school so she or maybe me for that matter, will have to drive to Huntersville before we go to work.

We looked at a home in Moss Creek. It seemed like a very nice place but we didn't like the house.

Default Huntersville

No advice on the housing front but our daughter goes to Kids R Kids in Huntersville. We can not say enough good things about it. PM me if you have any questions....as I've checked out all the schools between Davidson and Huntersville.
