I am looking for a pretty nice place that is more of a seafood place. I was going to go to the oceanaire room, but it closed down. I am looking for more non chain if I can. She loves crab and I would win a point or two if I could get it for her.

Is Upstream still open in Philips Place? It's been a while since I've been but it was very good.

I ate at the one in Vegas, and it didn't live up to it's reputation. Good soup, but poor service that really put a damper on the meal.

The menu at upstream didn't really have that much crab in it. It looked very good tho!

I recommend getting crab legs at the oyster bar at Big Daddy's on Lake Norman.

Lavecchias uptown has some classy seafood, not sure about crab though. Upstream is also a good choice. McCormick and Schmicks ever since they were caught "substituting" fish on their menu....I haven't been.

What kind of crab offering are you looking for? Crab cakes? Crab legs? My wife LOVES the all you can eat crab legs deal at City Tavern in Stonecrest.

I've been to Vinnie's many times for their AYCE crablegs. How does City Tavern compare in quality? Pricewise they're close enough that the money wouldn't sway me.
