Wink Marvin Ridge Middle School

I have heard from several good sources that this is going to be a great middle school. We are relocating from Florida and we have looked at the Marvin Creek development, but I've seen alot of negative comments about Toll Brothers builders. Does anyone know of any new developments that will be in the area of Marving Ridge Schools?

Thanks!

Yes. Lawson in Waxhaw will be in that school district. Lovely community. I would check out St. Lawrence Homes.

My child attended Marvin Ridge Middle School for the end of this school year. It is a beautiful school, I've only heard great things about it. Although it is not a "new" development Hunter Oaks is very nice and our children will attend Marvin Ridge Middle and High Schools. Good Luck

If you mean new construction, consider The Chimneys of Marvin (Pulte), Kingsmead, and Providence Downs (custom) -- if you want amenities such as a pool. If you don't need amenities, there is Bridle Path Estates and Therrell Farms.

Lawson is very nice, though a little further "out" from town than Marvin Creek. Last I heard there were plans to build new schools on Cuthbertson Road (near New Town Road) and that developments on that side of 16 would attend those schools.

Best of luck

I am building in Marvin Creek (The Meadows) and they have been great. The are moving along. Each collection has a different superintendant and that makes all the difference. This community is so close to these new schools that it will most likely NOT be rezoned to any other. And it is in the village in Marvin. Although, these mean an addl village tax ( small amt) they have stricter building codes.

Bridle Path is beautiul (almost bought there) but no amenities. Orleans is not as good a builder as Toll & that is why Toll takes longer to build because of the building materials needed to be ordered per plan.

I agree with threesons. Marvin Creek is a great subdivision with excellent amenities. Excellent schools. Toll Brothers is a luxury builder and shows in their workmanship.

I agree with threesons as well, Marvin creek is a great community with execellent amenities, homes, schools, access to interstate, shopping malls. The only complaint with Toll Brothers at Marvin Creek was there building schedules during the intial phases of the community, since then they have rectified it and they stick to schedule.

Marvin Ridge is a new school, only been open a few months. Obviously, this is great because the school gets all the latest bells and whistles. If you are adamant about having your kids attend Marvin Ridge Middle and High Schools, then your search will be confined to that immediate area around those facilities. But, there are plans for more new school construction in the coming years and there are many fantastic communities in the Marvin Ridge Middle school area you may find appealing.

I suggest coming here and spend at least 3 days driving around to the various communities to get a feel for your preferences. I happen to live in the Lawson community, moved here from Long Island 7 months ago and I love it! I love Lawson and I love the Charlotte area. I've driven thru most of the other communities in this area and it would be extremely difficult for me to single out a community i didn't find to be charming.

depending on your budget, there will be no shortage of communities for you to choose from. from the entry-level ranches to the high-end custom homes in places like High Gate, your head will spin with the amount of choices. it's impossible for you not to find something you like.

happy hunting!
