Hi,
One of the neighborhoods we're interested in is Champion Forest. The houses and properties look beautiful. I'd like to get some feedback on what the neighborhood is like. We have 3 young girls so we definitely want to make sure there are kids in the neighborhood for them to play with. We're a friendly family and pretty outgoing. We are interested in a close knit neighborhood where we know who our neighbors are. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Proud to call it my home, we have been here 2.5 years. Lots of kids, I've been told we have 276 school age children. The pool could be bigger, it does get crowded on the weekends, but consider there are only 150+ homes and HOA fees are under $600. Feel free to send me a DM if needed. I'll tell you the homes I think are the bargins.

Smile Champion Forest

The deal right now is the home at 1137 Waynewood. Home is one of the few acre lots in the subdivision and originally sold in August 2005 for $594,500. List price currently is $450,000.

Very nice neighborhood. Small neighborhood and a small pool. Walking trails throughout the neighborhood and lots of children. All homes are 4-sided brick with side-loading garages. Many trees left by the developer which you don't see in many of the newer neighborhoods in this area.

I'm not certain who that "deal" is for - the seller, maybe?

I won't argue that it's a nice neighborhood, but won't agree that's a deal at all.

if that price was too high for what you're looking for, you can look next door at Lawson...many price points there...Great pool, lots of kids....

I agree with you on that home. I've heard it's a short sale, don't know what the bank is looking for. I don't think that home will last on the market through the summer, it really is a nice home and lot.

I didn't think there was a pool in Champion Forest neighborhood. Are you refering to Champion Forest near the corner of Cypresswood and Champion Forest?

Ooops, I just realized that this was in the Charlotte forum. I was refering to the Houston Champion Forest. Ironically, I am from Charlotte. I had not heard of a Champion Forest in Charlotte. I miss Charlotte. It's just such a beautiful area. Good luck with your search!
