We are looking to move June 08. And we are probably going with new construction. Just wondering what people did who had to move down (either their house sold or for work) and their homes were not available?

Rented an apartment, did not have a hosue to sell.

If I had sold a house I would have rented a house, if possible near to where I was going to be living.

I bought new and rented an apt while I'm waiting for it to be built. We wanted to give ourselves enough time to sell our house back in Phx. It ended up going into escrow before we got here. Thankfully!!!

My husband had a job, I had an offer to transfer with my company but did but turned it down due to low money, I tried my luck in Charlotte. It worked out well.

Red face Depends on how long...

It depends on how long, if it's a week, an extended stay hotel might do. We had family in the area and stayed with them for a week.
