Default Flip that House

Ok, I've heard a lot good things about Charlotte, such as, that's the best place to invest into Real Estate for a flip, "OK" where? Do you know?

I surely hope you are kidding. Some of us are moving there to be closer to family - to create a life, and "flipping", as seen in CA/FL, etc., prices us regular folk out of the market - those of us who just want to have a home in a safe, decent neighborhood, and plant some roots. It's already becoming tougher for some of us - and I'm talking educated people, here - to get a good non-starter home in NC.

Please buy here if you want a place to call home. Otherwise, please reconsider.

I am assuming you are referencing to the telivision show where they buy a decent property gut it and resale it.

North Carolina is growing and house prices are rising in certain areas and depreciating in others we are not having the major increase like the other markets saw in there bubble days or like on that show but more at healthy rate.

For instance I remember seeing a california 3 bedroom 100 sq ft home before flip was 435k after flip 650k that isnt happening here the market has mostly stayed at a normal rate better gains closer to metro areas.

I definite see Kannapolis, NC being a good hot spot for Charlotte Market if you are willing to spruce up some of the old mill homes close to the location where the Dole Biotech Research park is located and it is schedule to open later this year.

My only other suggestion is look around the lakes in the state for mobile homes with lake front or lake view and build a home on that lot but they may be on septic or well water.

These are good flips in the long term not like the show that does it in 30 days.

tampa is supposed to have the best turnaround and ppl will continue to move here. another city is new orleans. charlotte homes (from what i have seen) are still affordable for a nice home. you probably wont see huge gains like they do on the show in california. unless the market there in charlotte gets really hot

However, I ask you; if you have the opportunity, besides rising a family, creating a life with my kids, etc... wouldn't you jump on the opportunity? Who is kidding who?

Well sunnykayak, I appreciate the info, my plans are to cash out here in Florida, sell my house & business, start all over in NC, I have twin boys to worry about their future, however, from I have seen on TV, even last night on "Nightline", they had a Realtor on, and his comments were that now is the time to invest in NC, they're predicting that the Real Estate boom will also happen in NC, it's very difficult to make an educated decision from here.

Cool Flip away!

As long as there are places that are appreciating, aka Charlotte, Seattle, New Orleans?? There will be flippers! Wish I had the resources too. Maybe someday soon.

PM me if you want me to investigate flipping potentials!

Oooo I didnt watch it last night but just watch a clip of it on internet and that is not GOOD NEWS LOL sorry but what that realtor is wanting for Charlotte to become a hot market so that prices do go to the roof so he gets better profits and people like you have trouble finding a great size home at a decent price to raise and provide the essentials your family needs.

I like hearing good things about this great state but I dont want to be on a favorite list or newscasts like that.
Even though we have mild infrastructure issues if everyone sees that report and put there home on market elsewhere it can only be a bad sign for this area.

I didnt know you had kids that changes everything I assume by your OP you was looking to flip for cash in that case find a job in this area then find a home that hopefully is on same side of town your work.

Hello Keith, thank you for your comments, I appreciate it, I can understand how you feel, the same thing happened to me here in Florida, my wife became a Realtor two months after the boom ended. But we are considering moving to NC (Charlotte) area, I figure with the money that we'll have left over from the sale of our house & business, we should be able to buy a home, a maybe flip a couple of them here and there. So fire away.
