That makes 3 yogurt stores within probably 3 miles. {Tastyyo, TCBY and yoforia}. I really hope they can all make it. Oh and Pinkberry is opening up this summer not too far away.
If any are going to have trouble staying my bet is on tasty-yo. I like it there but the yogurts flavors are VERY limited and the toppings are limited to. My guess is that their customers have moved down the street to yoforia, I know I have. I was a pretty faithful customer to tasty-yo but its a no brainer, yoforia kicks its butt! Oh, and I can't wait for pinkberry to come too :-)
Since I moved to the Park/Woodlawn area a little over a year ago, one of my favorite spots for dining & hanging out is Montford Dr. It is a small, trendy street just south of the Park Rd Shopping Center full of neighborhood bars, diners, and restaurants. It looks like it is changing once again. Ole Smokehouse will be no more after Saturday. I went there once, but for me it wasn't memorable. I didn't realize how much of a staple it was for the neighborhood. Anyways, It is being replaced by a new joint named 15 North, a sister restaurant to 17 North in Charleston. Looks like it will be a cool place, with garage doors in the front that will be opened in nice weather. Here's the article:

Yeah, that looks cool I'm excited to see it open. I'm not a fan of chains myself - but there are always exceptions to the rule.
When I lived in NY we would see Sonic commercials all the time and everyone always wanted it because their commercials make it look so good. I have been ONCE since I've lived here in a year. I was excited to try it and I did, it was okay, but nothing special. My boyfriend and I laugh about it still because we were so excited to try Sonic. All my friends and family in NY still tell me I'm so lucky to live near a Sonic. So funny.
The only thing worth getting at Sonic is a bag of their little ice cubes. We use them to make Mojitos. They're lovely.
