Does anyone have any information on the public schools for the Palisades and how they compare vs the schools for Providence and Ballantyne CC.
Thank you!

Sorry to say, schools for the Palasaides do not compare to the ones in Ballantyne at any level.

Thanks

The elementary school is Winget Park. A new elementary school was scheduled to open this year on land the county acquired across York Rd from McDowell Nature Preserve jsut east of Grand Palisades Parkway, but the county isn't selling bonds, and construction for that school has been delayed. The attendance zone for the new school was set a couple of years ago. Elementary school students in the new school zone will go to Winget Park until the new school is built and open. See Winget Park Elementary School : Winget Park Homepage

The middle school is Southwest: Southwest Middle School :

The high school is Olympic, which is divided up into five smaller schools.

Great info. Any idea how those schools compare vs. those that service Piper Glen or Tega Cay.

Don't compare well, i am afraid. Ballantyne has schools like Community Middle and JM Robinson Middle and Ardrey Kell High School- in Schools to watch list

I'll make this real simple for you...no place in the Charlotte metro is as top notch for public schools as the Ballantyne area. Some parts of Piper Glen do go to Ballantyne area schools.

You should also check out Providence Plantation and Providence Country Club.

Thank you for your clarity. I am definitely considering Providence Country Club. My only concern there is buying a house that is 20 years old should I need to sell it in 10 years from now. I just don't have any experience with older homes. Thanks again
