Which banks in the Charlotte area can you recommend?
Hi,
I was wondering which bank in the Charlotte area you all would recommend. We are looking for the bank to have
- many ATM locations
- good service
- it would be great if the bank would have branches in many states
For example, here in Colorado our bank is Wells Fargo w/ ATM's and branches all over the West.
Thanks for your info!
Chris

Same deal.
When I moved to Charlotte, I had to pick Wachovia or Bank of America, they pretty much offer the same services.

Credit unions top banks any day. The only drawback is lack of ATMs. However, it is so easy to get cash back on a pin-based transaction at so many merchants. At least go with a CU for savings. I recommend Truliant (must live, work, or worship in Mecklenburg).

I joined them a few months ago and their service is A1 Top Notch. Rates can be slightly better than a bank. They offer a plethora of free services, such as financial counseling, etc. The people working in their centers are extremly friendly and its genuine, as are the people on the phone. You own part of a cu when you join, so they treat you that way. Truliant has been good for me, but I have heard Charlotte Metro is good too (must live, work, or worship i Meck, Union, or Iredell[/i]
