My wife and I are relocating to NC and looks like we are going to be in Curtis Pond. Our new home has a close date of June 25th. We are really excited. seems like a really nice place.

Can anyone tell us anything about it?

There do seem to be a lot of kids running around the whole neighborhood - which I know you wanted.

Just please, be sure and keep your outside maintained, especially the house sideing as so many around there don't seem to think that is necessary and it will effect your homes value over time.

Welcome! When we moved in several neighbors came to greet us. Attended a multi-block "girls night" recently. Looking forward to the pool opening soon. The schools are great! Do you have any specific questions?

-As for people not maintaining their properties, WOW, how pretensious of you to make such a comment. You know, they teach my children not to say things online that they wouldn't say to somebody's face. It's a good standard to hold oneself to.

Would be happy to post pics of examples of what I was talking about if you would like?

There is nothing "pretensious" about wanting to see a neighborhood age gracefully with proper maintenance of all exteriors, unless of course you don't care about making the most equity possible on your home? And I'd be happy to say that to your face

We are moving from southwest VA. A very small town. Pop. of town is only about 5000. Heck the whole county has only about 45,000. It will be a big change but something we have been looking forward to for quite a while. If all goes well, we will own a new home in Curtis Pond by the end of June or sooner.

We have one kid. She is four. She is excited as well. She tells everyone she is moving to "Carolina." She is excited because she knows every time we visit, she gets to do something fun like Chuck E. Cheese or Dave and Busters. We have nothing at all like that where we are from. Our town does not even have a Wal-mart or Target.

So you have started on us before we even close on the house huh? I was hoping for a better welcome than that. Oh well, I hope the community as a whole is not like you!

Welcome to Mooresville!
I am certain you will love it and all that it offers.
Curtis Pond is a great community as well, especially
now that there is a shopping plaza with a grocery
store so close by. Best wishes!
Kathy
