Brightmoor Area (Matthews: houses, established neighborhood, schools)

Can anyone give me some insight on the Brightmoor area?

I have kids so schools are important. From what I can tell the schools in this area seem to be pretty good. Also I prefer an established neighborhood. I am looking for a house around the $250 mark.

From what I can tell it seems like a nice place if anyone has some thoughts please let me know.

I used to teach at Matthews Elementary and think it is an excellent school. I obviously had lots of families from that neighborhood and it was very family friendly. Everyone seemed happy to be living there.

The schools are good. Some of the houses are older and not as kept up, but there is a very family friendly vibe. We have friends that live there and they like it. You should be able to find something in your price range.
