I am in Concord. I take exit 52 on 85 to uptown and it takes me about 30 minutes. Not too bad. The worst part is the 85 to 77 merge.

I have my Friday route What's nice is at it continues to get more crowded up in Huntersville the drive is all freeway and the new loop is currently under construction.

I am down in Blakeney area, when I need to get to downtown area I need to use 485 to 77 but only if its after 9 am, takes 20 mins. If I had to do that at 7am it would take 20 mins to get from Rea Rd to 77 if Im lucky. Traffic is awful from the southside to anything uptown - then if there's an accident......

I think one of the best areas are far as commute goes is Mnt Island Lake, up RT 16. I have a friend up there and I can make it from uptown to his house in 20min at rush hour. The only problem is that you are across the river from a coal plant....Myself, I think I'll try and pass on Charlotte, I think it will be a mess in a few years....
