i'm moving from ohio and have visited charlotte 1 time.

i've figured out where uptown, and noda are, and beyond that i'm lost when people refer to area by neighborhood name.

does anyone know of a website that lists a map with neighborhood breakdown? and/or possibly (and i know this is probably asking a lot) but what key points that area may be known for? ie: gay bars are in ____ goth/punks like ______ great museums are ______

also, do most bars/restaurants having smoking/non-smoking sections or are they all non-smoking?

Don't let the name fool you, "The Queen City" doesn't have much of a gay community. Not much of a goth/punk community either, unless you're in high school.

I like that site Hooligan. And it reminded me that Lansdown and those older neighborhoods might be perfect for someone looking to remodel an older gem with good bones. There are some gorgeous homes in there and the lots are huge!

Yeah, I wish there was a similar site that was non-commercial (that's pretty much 1 big ad for Savvy & Co.), but there *is* a lot of useful information there.
