Default Did anyone really think they wouldn't?

Come on! They controlled the whole thing right down to the "we have so much integrity" and then to threaten to all quit if they didn't win! I guess we will never know where our donated dollars go!

But hey! The opponents didn't really bring anything to the table so we are better off in the end. Who cares where the money goes as long as they keep us safe!

It was an interesting, fun event!!

I have complete confidence in the integrity of the Wesley Chapel fire department. Those volunteers have poured their hearts and souls into our community for many years. I have never known them to be anything but top notch. I'm glad to know that others gave them a vote of confidence.

Does anyone know why Wesley Chapel Fire Dept DID NOT RESPOND to a 911 call on 7-26-07?

DON'T YOU DARE GET THAT ATTITUDE TOWARDS WCFD, OR ANY OTHER VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT UNLESS YOU YOURSELF ARE A VOLUNTEER. I am a volunteer in Union County but not at WCFD, BUT I DO LIVE IN THEIR DISTRICT AND I HAVE THE HIGHEST RESPECT FOR THAT DEPARTMENT. HOW DARE YOU JUDGE THEM ON ONE MOMENT OF WEAKNESS. Some of their members run over 360 calls a year, HAVE YOU DONE ANYTHING THAT SELFLESS???

Sorry,
I don't know, who is Todd Hage and what is going on with him?

I don't think the question about the 911 call was being critical. If I called 911 and didn't get a response I would wonder what was wrong because usually something has to be wrong to not get a response to 911. I think all firemen, women and anyone protecting and helping us deserves to be treated like the heroes that they are! A pay raise for all of them would be gret too!!

Firefighter killed in wreck on fire call (http://www.wcnc.com/sharedcontent/APStories/stories/D8QV75C02.html - broken link)

Quote:
A volunteer firefighter and Navy veteran died Saturday when the truck he was driving to a fire call rolled over, authorities said.

Todd W. Hage, 43, of Wesley Chapel, was alone on the truck when it ran off the road and flipped over at 4:26 p.m.

Fire department spokesman Rob Brisley said Hage joined the department last year and was named the rookie of the year by his colleagues. It wasn't known why the truck turned over because no one saw it happen, Brisley said.

Hage was survived by a wife and two young children.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol was investigating the accident.
