Can anyone recommend a good (and honest) landscaper in the Ballantyne/Indian Land area? We're looking to get sod installed in our back yard and we would like to get some quotes and see how they compare to what our builder quoted us.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the info! We'd rather not do it ourselves. We don't know enough about that sort of stuff. We'd rather leave it to the pros.

Default R&r

We used R&R Irrigation and Landscaping a year ago. Had three prices, he came in, in the middle. (I never use the lowest!)

He has done two sod lawns by me. (The Reserve), PM me if you want to drive by and see!, and does work in Providence Downs South, among other high end areas. I believe he also gets his sod from where someone posted above!

His name is Jairo Arango, nice guy!

The builder of my house quoted a price of $1800 for a 1575 sq/ft backyard. That seems high to me so I am hoping to get a better price somewhere else.

We used him for the installation of our irrigation system. We had to leav prior to being done. Up to tht point had been great. When we came back the next day his workers had not really cleaned up the lawn well, and the timer was set completly wrong. He was going to give us quotes on complete lawn care and decking and pavers. After he sent us the quote for the lawn maintenance, (which did not include the back as we had not put sod their yet) we called him and asked why it was $200.00). He said that was for cutting, edging, fixing up the pine needles, putting down the chemicals for the lawn and opening and cloosing the irrigatin system. We told him that he was more expensive then in NY. We never heard back from him again about the way the irrigtion system was left or the other quotes. My opinion....he thinks if you are coming down from NY you have money, as soon as you call him on it he dispaears....I would stay away from him....

Unhappy Show me the Money!!!

I agree, we did get a quote of somewhere in the ball park of $200. We did not want to pay that either! That price was for all the bells and whistles! You have to remember he is working in a pricey area, he can probably afford to quote high and get turned down. I cut the lawn myself, now! My advice would be look for a guy just starting out, to get a good price.

But, as for the service of our irrigation system and sod, he did a fine job! Sorry he did not please you. I think with any business, there will be good experiences and bad.
