I would assume that the best place for me to get fresh farm eggs, would be from the farmers markets.

Was wondering if people have any recommendations, for fresh eggs, where you get them from and how much they cost?

How about having a small flock of hens in your backyard?

Alas these HOA's won't allow that, not sure the wife would either but that's another story.

I am not sure what part of town you are on but there is a farmer on Waxhaw-Marvin Rd who puts a sign out when he has them available. I think he charges 3.00 a dozen. I pass his farm every morning and can post when I see his sign out if you like.

There are tons of farmers at the FM that have fresh eggs. I usually get my from Gilchrest Farms, but I have gotten others, too. Right now they are 4.00 a dozen. They might go down to 3.00 and they are 5.00 in the winter. A little pricey...but SO worth it!

I should have put where I am, I live in the bottom end of Steele Creek, thank you for the offer but that may be a bit of a trek for the eggs.

Yes. Go on Saturday AM. I have heard that the new Atherton Mills FM has some as well, though.
