Hi,

We are probably moving to the Charlotte area from Indiana. Boy I hope it's sunnier there. According to Sperling it's only 29 days more of sun per year, but it's got to be more. My sister-in-law lives in Concord, but everything I read says-go South Charlotte. Schools are #1, but not HUGE!! Our current H.S. has 4,500 students. We have a 5th and 7th grader. Ballantyne area nice? What about Mooresville or Davidson? are the schools good?

Would love a quaint feel with great schools. Close to a lake would be great! My husband is home office based, but would fly 2-3 monthly.

Thanks for any help!!! My head hurts with all the options.

Without knowing your price range, I'd look in the Tega Cay, Lake Wylie or Ft Mill areas.

I live about 10 mins from Lake Wylie and it took me 16 minutes to get from my driveway to a parking spot in the garage at the airport on Monday morning (early, so no traffic).

Those areas are good schools and will offer you the quaint, small-town feel you're after.
