Hi everyone!

I could use some help and guidance on lamps--I know, not the most exciting topic on this board, but one I've been struggling with.

I have several lamps that have gone out over the years. One by one, they simply have stopped working over the past few years (I've had them for 10-15 years, and prior to that, they've been with a family member for many years before).

Has anyone had lamps repaired, or is it better to say goodbye and purchase new lamps? Part of me is thinking it's less expensive to purchase new lamps from Target or such, but the other part of me doesn't want to discard these lamps if it's not too much money to bring them back to life.

Thank you in advance for any advice you have!

Lamps are basically wires in a container. My mom use to make lamps from wine bottles with decorative shells on the outside of the bottle and there was no big deal to the wiring. You can try rewiring them since they seem old and save your self some major bucks and learn something cool. Never know. Sentiment is priceless
