It doesn't sound like a wise thing to do. Of course, don't know what fields they are in, don't know what they are thinking about as far as a new career to pursue . . . but yes, even for those with a social network, business network, work experience and stellar educations . . . this is a tough time to find a job in this region. Without any of those support systems, it would surely be even harder . . . so I would not suggest this as being the best time for an adventure.

On the good side, they are young and it sounds like they don't have kids, so taking a risk now is probably a lot better than doing it after there are more folks in the family whose needs must be met.

I believe you received some well informed responses. Don't move here without a job lined up. The spouse and I consider ourselves lucky to have jobs. Many, many well educated and experienced people are not so lucky. Good luck with your move.

No one lied to you. I asked you what kind of job, because I know of some businesses that will be opening. Instead, you lashed out because people didn't tell you what you wanted to hear. Don't bother to tell what you're looking for now, because I will not open the thread again. Good luck finding something.
