Hi everyone! Our move is coming up this summer and we're looking for rentals in the Charlottesville area. We've found several websites to help us in our search, but one thing I haven't been able to figure out is if there are any apartment/townhome communities that are not geared toward or mostly populated by college students. Not that I'm anti-student, I'm just well past the age where I should be consorting with them

We are hoping to find a nice single family home to rent, but I want to check out a few other options as a back up plan. Any recommendations? We are looking to be in or close to the city. Thanks.

I found a new townhouse in an apartment complex off of Rio Rd which is on the northside of town. If you want to avoid the undergrads, look at areas away from the university.

Wow...that's pretty cheap.

Default Do Your Homework

I would suggest you also look into The Reserve at Belvedere (also off Rio Road and they do not rent to Undergraduates). Do your homework and read the Applications – managements that are picky about their renters will assure you better neighbors. Avoid University Heights Apartments (it is very apparent when managements do not do criminal background checks).
