Hello! We are looking for land in Charlottesville or the surrounding areas where we could park our tiny house. Rent is negotiable, but will ideally fall within the $200 range. If you are not familiar with tiny houses, they are essentially houses built on a trailer. They are similar to an RV, but are built to be much sturdier and long-lasting. And they look like houses! We built our tiny house ourselves, and it measures 8’ x 28’.

The ideal setup for us would include:
1) Something within easy driving distance (≤ 25 min) of Charlottesville (specifically UVA)
2) An area that offers level ground
3) Access to electricity (can be as simple as a plug for an extension cord) and a water source (can be a hose or come from a well). Septic hookups would be ideal, but we can be self-contained in this area if necessary.
4) Permission to bring our small, older dog with us.
7) Permission to invite friends and colleagues over from time to time.

We are a soon-to-married couple in our mid-twenties. I will be starting law school at UVA in August and my fiancé is a musician. We are ideally looking to rent the land until at least May 2019. We are incredibly responsible with our finances and always pay our bills on time. We can provide references as well. We are both responsible adults who will treat your land and property with the utmost respect. Please e-mail with any possible opportunities. We are hoping to get something lined up as soon as possible. If you know of someone else who might have a good setup for a tiny house, please feel free to pass along our information!

I have no info on a parking spot, but nice job on the "tiny house"...any idea of the weight ? What frame did you use ? For ideal creature comfort, won't you need at least a 30a outlet, like an RV , or will that mini-split run on 20a ?
