Hi-
We are considering moving to Charlottesville for my husband's job. We have a child with a serious neurological disorder and who needs access to great medical care, especially a really good pediatric neurologist. He is in a regular classroom but does receive some special education services. Can anyone tell me about local medical care and how the schools are at meeting special needs? How are bullying situations handled in the schools? We currently live in NC but we have also lived in NY. I grew up in GA. There are great things about both NY and NC and some not so great things about both areas (like every place), and we are looking for a happy medium between the two, but because of my son we have to consider the medical care and special ed services as priorities. I really appreciate the help.
