My husband and I will be soon relocating to Chattanooga, We would like to know about diffrent areas. We want a place to rent that is in a diverse area, fairly nice and safe, and near grocery store, pharmacies, bus lines, etc

Plenty of safe nice places. But, the kicker there is near bus lines. I guess the best place is in the East Brainerd area probabaly. Bus lines run there and the amenities are a plenty. You didn't say if you wanted an apartment or home but either way that area has both. It's not the cheapest part of the county though.

We really don't have much of a bus line, but I live in the St Elmo area and can walk to Bi-Lo and a couple of the major pharmacies. I've lived off of Mountain Creek Road and was very close to many things including the downtown area.
