Hi, I'm moving to the Chattanooga area in a few months, and I have no clue about the area.

I plan on renting initially, then looking to buy within a year or so. I work from home, so I can live anywhere in the Chattanooga area. I'm a 25 year old single guy who is very active and I like to get out and meet new people.

Any suggestions on neighborhoods?

Downtown sounds like your speed if you are going to be living it up

Choosing a place to live is a personal choice. There are many areas that you could be happy in, depending on what you like to do and how you like to live. In your case, renting is a good idea. While you are renting, you can drive around and look an neighborhoods and areas that you might consider. Price can be a big factor too. Popular areas, like downtown and the north shore are more expensive, but very trendy.

You would like the north shore and downtown areas. St Elmo is a good area too, but just a bit further away from the downtown area. You would be able to walk almost everywhere living in North Shore and downtown area.

Hi Ryan, welcome to Chattanooga. If I were 25, good looking, skinny and single I would only consider some of the Downtown and North Shore Condos and neighborhoods. It won't be cheap but hey, you are only young once!

You will have easy and instant access to live music, restaurants, and other nightlife.

I agree with what everyone else is saying. Northshore! Come visit and you will be able to tell quickly where you want to be!

I actually prefer downtown over the North Shore.
